Seedance 2.0 Video Generation: Getting Started in Creative Studio

Seedance 2.0 stands out in text-to-video for compelling value: fluid motion and natural cinematography. Essevin's Everyday, Advanced and Professional plans include Seedance, and video shares the same monthly points as chat and images. This guide walks you through making your first clip in the browser with Creative Studio — no code and no setup required.

Your First Clip in Three Steps

  1. Open Creative Studio: sign in to the Essevin console and open Creative Studio (see the Creative Studio guide for screenshots), then switch the composer from Image to Video.
  2. Pick a model and set the controls: choose a Seedance tier from the model menu, then set Duration, Resolution and Aspect in the settings panel, and turn on Audio if you want sound. The panel only shows options the selected model supports; combinations differ between models.
  3. Write a prompt and generate: describe the scene, the camera movement and the final frame, check the Est. ≈ … credits figure next to the composer, and submit. A clip usually takes about 2–10 minutes and appears in your works when it is done.

Choosing a Seedance Tier in the Studio

Each Seedance tier has exactly one public, versioned model ID; the studio menu shows its name:

Name in Creative StudioModel IDNotes
Seedance 2.0 Standard (Overseas)dreamina-seedance-2-0-260128Standard tier, 4–15 seconds, 1080p and above available
Seedance 2.0 Fast (Overseas)dreamina-seedance-2-0-fast-2601284–15 seconds, up to 720p
Seedance 2.0 Mini (Overseas)dreamina-seedance-2-0-mini-2606154–15 seconds, up to 720p
Seedance 2.5 EP (Overseas)dreamina-seedance-2-5-260628Newest generation, 4–30 seconds, up to 720p

Duration can also be set to Auto, letting the model decide the clip length. Which models your account can use is whatever the studio's model menu shows.

Resolution, Duration and Points

  • Resolution and duration set the points: video usage is converted by resolution tier and duration and deducted from your monthly points; the site estimates one Seedance 2.0 clip (480p, 4 seconds, no reference video) at about 48,992 points. Higher resolution and longer clips cost more, and adding a reference video moves the job to a different price tier.
  • Check the estimate before you submit: as you change the controls, the composer shows the estimated points for this clip; if you do not have enough, the same spot reads Insufficient balance and the job is not submitted. Points are reserved from the estimate while the clip generates.
  • Start low, then step up: short clips at 480p or 720p are the cheapest way to test; step up resolution and length once you like the results.

Prompting Tips

  • Write "camera movement," not "story." Five to ten seconds holds one shot. Cinematic language like "slow push," "backlit silhouette," "locked camera" works better than plot recaps. For example: A serene boardwalk at sunrise, camera slowly tracking forward, seagulls gliding past.
  • Use a reference image for style control: choose Add reference image, video, or audio and upload a reference image to lock down look and feel and keep products recognizable — ideal for brand asset production runs.
  • Stay clear of content review: leave out specific people, song titles, brands and copyrighted elements; if a job is blocked, rephrase the prompt or swap the reference media and try again.

Download Finished Videos Promptly

Video links in Creative Studio stay valid for 24 hours, and each result card shows the time remaining. Use Download video to save clips you want to keep to your own device or storage right away; once a link expires, the only option is to regenerate.

Where It Shines

Short-form clips, product showcase animations, social ad A/B test production — scenarios with high volume, tight cost sensitivity, and tolerance for frame selection. Start with a small batch of ten clips, find your usable rate, then scale production. That's the safest launch path.

Essevin is a flat monthly subscription, and chat, images and video share one monthly points allowance; the Everyday, Advanced and Professional plans include video, while the Taster plan does not. Subscriptions are now open; see plan details at essevin.com and subscribe at console.essevin.com.
