Quickstart
Create an API key, select the correct protocol, and complete your first Essevin request.
Register or sign in
Open console.essevin.com/login. Registration is open — create an account there, or sign in if you already have one.
Essevin runs on a monthly subscription: one shared credit allowance per month that resets and does not carry over. Subscriptions are open: choose a plan on the console Subscription page and pay by card. You can cancel the renewal there at any time; the plan stays usable until the end of the paid period.
Create an API key
Open API keys, click New key, enter a name, and under Use with pick what the key is for (Claude, GPT, Images, or a video model). The key begins with sk-; every key draws from your plan's credits.
Configure the Base URL
Replace the API address in your tool or application with the matching Essevin Base URL, then provide the key.
Core settings
| Use case | Address |
|---|---|
| Anthropic protocol Claude Code and Claude models | https://api.essevin.com |
| OpenAI protocol Codex, GPT, and GPT Image models | https://api.essevin.com/v1 |
| API key | sk-xxxxxx (created in the console) |
| Discover models available to the key | GET https://api.essevin.com/v1/models |
The Anthropic Base URL does not include /v1; Anthropic clients append the API path. The OpenAI Base URL must include /v1.
Verify the key and model
Do not guess a model name. First fetch the list for the current key and select an ID that is actually present.
curl https://api.essevin.com/v1/models \
-H "Authorization: Bearer sk-your-key"Then send a minimal request using a chat model returned above:
curl https://api.essevin.com/v1/chat/completions \
-H "Authorization: Bearer sk-your-key" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "a-chat-model-returned-by-v1-models",
"messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Reply with only: ok"}]
